She’s Coming! She’s Really Coming!

by TerriAnn

We’re picking her up in a few days! What do we need to get ready? Suggestions on food, toys, accessories, and even names are much appreciated by this first-time dog owner!

Thanks. That’s something I’ll have to get used to though 😛

Oh nooo, she’s looks like my Spinna when he was younger. Is she a Lab?

She’s a mix of lab/shepherd/cattle dog. She seems to have the lab disposition, shepherd coat, and cattle dog face 🙂

She is absolutely over the top cute!

AND she’s a love bug! She’s happy to just sit on your lap until you’re ready to play 🙂 We are so happy to have found her after a few ‘less than wonderful’ meet-ups with other rescue dogs.

so wonderful that you adopted a rescue.. it’s so important. My wonderful 12 year old Copper went to the Rainbow Bridge monday night.. if this pup gives you even 1/2 as much love.. you will be one extremely lucky loving family. She’s beautiful!

I’m so sorry to hear you lost him/her. We saw so much sadness when we first checked out the shelter and continued our search. So many are so focused on breed or novelty then drop them off at the shelter or abandon them when they not fun anymore. We look forward to providing a good home for her.

Very cute, TerriAnn! I love cotton web leashes, the nylon ones hurt & retractable leashes aren’t good. Welcome to the wonderful world of petownership, it’s a lot of work but so worth it.

I knew that about the retractable but not the nylon. Now I have to research what cotton web leashes even are 😛 Thanks for the tip and the welcome!

dog crate for whatever size the dog will be full grown WITH puppy divider to help with house training. KONG toy and some natural pb ( i would not buy kong treats or squeezy stuff for it). I also recommend some “bully sticks” from costco. 😀

Great suggestions. I was wondering about the squeeze and treats from Kong. Our crate just came in today and it has the divider.
