Keurig OfficePRO Coffee Maker & Accessories from Staples, Products Provided For Review…
We got our first single-serve coffee maker some nine years ago back in the Netherlands. Since then we’ve switched to several other machines and have recently been using a full-blown coffee makers. Since I don’t usually drink coffee, my husband usually only makes enough for him and ends up having to throw out the left overs. Wasteful, right? We’re a little late to the show, especially since everyone and their mother already has a Keurig machine (my mom has one for a while now), so it was time for us to join the K-Cup bandwagon. For this we turned to Staples.
Staples sells coffee machines? Oh, yes indeed-y they do! After all, what kind of work or home office environment can you have without coffee?! Staples offers a huge selection of commercial- and home-grade coffee makers and everything you need to use them. Accessories such as organizing trays, coffee / beverage refills, stirring sticks, and filters are just a few items they carry. I decided on the Keurig OfficePRO. The machine is fairly quiet (it still has to do its heating and brewing thing) and super easy to use. Check it out:
Yes, we actually press that button quite a lot since we got it 🙂
So far, our coffee maker has worked out wonderfully. The setup was very simple and the operation has been smooth. The machine is a bit on the bulky side but the bigger, removable water reservoir is very convenient. I kind of irritates me, though, that the top of the reservoir is not level with the rest of the machine. Very minor point but I wanted to mention it. I noticed that other models have a digital display but we found this to be unnecessary. ‘On’ and ‘brew’ are really the only options you need to make a quick, tasty brewed beverage. For cleaning, there is also a drain and descale function. The machine feels very durable and heavy-duty, especially since it’s built for frequent use a commercial product.
Staples had a huge selection of K-Cups to choose from with various coffee brands and strengths, tea, cocoa, and even brew-over-ice cold beverage flavors. This was great for me as I prefer tea or hot chocolate to coffee. Well, a little too great as it took me forever to narrow down my flavor choices. The brew-over-ice lemonade I got was pretty interesting. The process of brewing was the same but needed a bigger cup (the drip area can be removed for larger cups) that was filled with ice. Too bad the lemonade had too much sweetener in it and left a funny aftertaste. The Starbucks coffee was good, just as we expected. I love that the K-Cups replace the need to count scoops. I would always forget how much to put in and my husband was forced to make his own coffee all the time. I’m hoping Staples will carry the Ghirardelli cocoa soon.
With all these new K-cups, we needed someplace to store them. I’m not much of a fan of the metal carousel. Every time you use one, there’s an empty spot that immediately needs to be filled. Otherwise, it looks kind of bare and lonely. The Mind Reader Organizer seemed perfect. It holds about three dozen K-cups at any one time and has a sleek, shiny top surface. I was a bit leery about putting the fairly large Keurig OfficePRO on it but that’s what it was made for. Both work together to make a pretty impressive coffee center.
Before, when I thought of Staples, items such as paper, computers, staples (obviously),and even furniture came to mind. Now I realize that Staples is our one-stop-shop for everything our little home office needs, including items for our new Keurig hot/cold beverage center.
Wow, that was easy!
