Disney Infinity 2.0 – Marvel Super Heros & Lush Toy Box Upgrades
Honestly, I wasn’t too intrigued by Disney Infinity 2.0 at first. I was under the assumption (based on the commercials) that it was mainly a fighting/combat game like Skylanders and that just didn’t seem like a good fit for our family. However, I basically had to pick my jaw off the floor after learning about the new Disney Infinity 2.0 features from the game’s producer, Mark Orgel.
The new enhanced toy box lets players create and share their levels and mini games with family and friend. The Creator tool makes building your worlds faster and easier. Toy box Game Discs offer pre-made, structured, franchise-themed games to play. All Disney Infinity figures (even the older ones) are compatible on 2.0 and work across platforms so kids can play at their friend’s house regardless of what game console they have.
The Toy Box allows you to create entire worlds, called toy boxes, with characters, props, buildings, landscapes, and mini-games. The 2.0 upgrade provides more tools to enrich your toy boxes even more. You can also customize building interiors now and connect your toy boxes with those of friends. Check this out:
Fun, right?! My inner gamer has been itching to give it whirl ever since the demo and I know this is right up my daughter’s alley. There are two Disney Infinity 2.0 starter packs available. Both contain the same core game (rated E-10+) and can be played on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC, and iOS. It’s just a matter of if your family like Marvel and cartoon combat or not.
The Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) Starter Pack retails at $74.99 while the Disney Infinity: Toy Box Starter Pack (2.0 Edition) is $59.99. However, Best Buy and Target are offering fab Black Friday deals where you can score either or only $39.99 and figures for $10-11 instead of $14.95 each. Also keep an eye on Amazon for other discounts on Disney Infinity 2.0
Marvel Super Heroes vs Toy Box Starter Pack – What’s the Difference?
As you can guess by the name, the Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes Starter Pack is heavily geared to the characters and action found in the Marvel Universe. Fans of the movies can now bring those battles to life and level up their skills by means of missions, solving puzzles, and special skills. This pack includes Iron Man, Thor and Black Widow figures, 2 Marvel Super Heroes Toy Box Game Discs, and a Marvel’s The Avengers Play Set piece.
If that doesn’t really float your boat, you can opt for the Disney Infinity: Toy Box Starter Pack. This is more oriented to the Disney family of films and parks. This is about $15 less and includes Merida and Stitch figures and 2 Disney Originals Toy Box Game Discs. You can always get more figures to add to your collection like Hiro and Baymax from Big Hero 6.

Big Hero 6 Toy & Other Merchandise
Speaking of the new movie, there are a ton of new products out that you and your kids are sure to love. During my press trip, we received just a taste of what’s available:
From plush characters to bedding, from apparel to toys, and from video games to books. My personal favorites are the Armor-Up Baymax (which you can dress Baymax up in his suit), the 10” Projection/SFX Baymax (scenes from the movie are projected on his belly), and the Big Hero 6 Sleeves for MacBooks. Although, the rep seemed to enjoy firing off that Baymax Rocket Fist quite a bit 😛 You can visit the Big Hero 6 Store

I had the same thoughts about Disney Infinity until our presentation. I couldn’t believe how much you could actually do in the game.
It’s actually nice that you can go the traditional character route or choose a theme like Marvel that’s more to your liking. This is pretty neat!
That is quite of a collection you have there! My son has been wanting Disney Infinity for awhile now. 🙂
I want one of those t-shirts but didn’t see one in the Amazon shop! We are huge fans of Hero 6 and I’ll definitely get something for my son for Christmas.

This was such a great movie, we went to go see it last weekend. My daughter wants a Baymax now…but not a toy, a real one, LOL!
I have to get my son a Disney Infinity. He’s been asking for one so I have to make it happen this year.
These would all be a hit as gifts! I see a couple things my sons would love.
