Back to school shopping is already in full swing. Summer is winding down and kids are going back to school soon, that is if they haven’t started their new classes already. I can’t believe that my baby will be starting high school in just a few weeks. I feel far from prepared. So, the other day I worked up a back to school list and braved the displays at Target for much needed items including pens, erasers, and PURELL® Advanced Hand Sanitizer.
Going Way Back with PURELL Advanced Hand Sanitizer
“PURELL hand sanitizer?!” you say. Yes, PURELL products. More contact with kids and cooler weather mean germies will be multiplying by the millisecond. We’ve always been big believers in having PURELL® Hand Sanitizer in stock at all times and my daughter has come to adopt that same thinking.
When Munchkin first started pre-school in the Netherlands, we were sure to send a small bottle of PURELL® Advanced Hand Sanitizer with her. Attached to her backpack, she could sanitize her hands easily before snack or lunchtime. However, after just 1-2 days, her little bottle was empty. We thought it was strange that the sanitizer had run out so fast but we brushed it off and gave her a new one to bring the next day. Again, 1-2 days later the bottle was empty. What was happening?
School Mishaps – Oversharing Hand Sanitizer
Apparently, my daughter did not keep her sense of good hygiene to herself. Instead of just making sure her own hands stayed free of germs, she offered the contents of her travel-size PURELL hand sanitizer to the whole class. Can you imagine a four-year-old squeezing hand sanitizer into each set of tiny outstretched hands?
Obviously, a new discussion about over sharing was needed after we found out about this. Not until after we had some giggles about her sweet naivety were enjoyed though. She no longer shares her hand sanitizer with every person she’s in contact with but she does keep one in her purse at all times.
So, in thinking about what to get for back to school. We made sure to pick up several PURELL products including the travel-size PURELL® JELLY WRAP™ Carriers and larger pump gels. PURELL® Hand Sanitizing Wipes were available as well but I was so frazzled by the shopping frenzy of getting all of our essentials that I forgot to pick them up. Oh well, I’m always open to another excuse to visit Target 🙂

This challenge will help us enter the new school year with confidence and avoid whatever is “going around.” Will you join us?
