Among chain coffee houses, two stand on top. Now, the other half of loyal coffee drinkers/patrons can have their favorite brew made fresh at home. Peet’s Coffee is now available in K-Cup form. Anyone up for a cup of some piping hot Major Dickason’s Blend?

Since Frans is the real coffee drinker in the house, I asked him for a simple description of the flavor. He said it was:

  • a perfect afternoon pick-me-up (strong)
  • not too acidy
  • complex flavor

It gets boring to drink the same kind of coffee all the time so having a cup of Peet’s in the afternoon is refreshing and fresh. As with all coffee made from k-cups, it’s best to use filtered water for the truest, cleanest taste.

As for me? I generally drink coffee just for the flavor, not the caffeine boost. I also load it up with creamer and sugar. Peet’s Coffee has more of a ‘bite’ to it so no amount of sweetener would rid it of the slightly bitter taste. It’s really a coffee-drinker’s coffee and not for those that prefer a watered down sweet beverage like me. I’m sure many of you are plenty ‘a-okay’ with that!

We only received Major Dickason’s Blend for this review so I can’t compare it with other varieties. However, we found the flavor and strength consistent with what’s serviced at the coffee stores. Happy drinking!

I received five boxes of Peet’s Coffee K-Cups as well as a gift card to compensate for my time. All opinions are 100% my own.

It’s nice they have it in the k-cups. But i’m like you, I prefer the sweet and flavored stuff not the strong bitter coffee.

Whew, glad I’m not the only one! I found the Starbucks ones a bit easier to fit to my taste. Do you also have a mad sweet tooth like me?

I was excited the first time I saw the Peet’s in k-cup form (and I bought them right then and there). 🙂

I have yet to try Peet’s but it does sound good! I t depends on my mood and what time of day it is whether I want my coffee really strong or more mild, this sounds like a wake me up cup!

My hubby feels the same way but he felt it was a bit strong for a morning coffee 😛
