See’s Candies – Bringing Chocolate Gifts to Homes Nationwide

See's Candies Gifts of Chocolates Pops Treats

See’s Candies Chocolates In-Store and Online…

Not all chocolate is made equal. It’s a fact that Hershey’s Kisses do not taste the same as Belgium truffles. See’s Candies has been around as long as I can remember and its chocolate stands on it’s own in terms of flavor and quality.

Growing up in California, it was our special treat in between shopping trips and the one indulgence everyone in the area seemed to understand. It wasn’t about stuffing ourselves full of sweets but it was more about satisfying individual palettes and personal favorites. The black-and-white See’s Candies stores, the female (usually) employees in traditional white dresses, and gold Mrs. See’s stickers were part of the experience. Children and adults alike looked forward to the day’s free sample as they paced back and forth along the two long, glass-enclosed display cases of chocolates and chews. Milk, dark, white, truffles, caramel, fudge, and more scream, “Eat me!”

Now other parts of the country can enjoy the yumminess that us Californians have been enjoying by ordering at Sees.com. I’ve never actually done this so it was pretty neat to do my window shopping online. We got a custom 1-lb. box with each of our faves, a Bridge Mix, and a box of assorted Little Pops.

See's Candies Gifts of Chocolates Pops Treats

It was not even a question as to which we box we would open first. The custom box was mostly made up of (about 60%) Cashew Brittle. Oh, man, all three of us love these things! The white chocolate is so smooth, the brittle is crunchy and not too sticky, and the cashews give it just the right amount of salty nuttiness. We also had California Crunch (me), Raspberry Cream (daughter), Dark Chocolate Molasses Chips (daughter), Apple Pie Truffle (husband), and a couple more.

We love the custom option as we all get pieces we like. Online you can adjust the percentage of each variety you want. This made it so easy to split the box fairly. If you’re not sure which items to add, each piece has a full description of the chocolate and filling for easy reference.

Was it just as good as we were accustomed to in-store? Well, after two days of this and that:

The full 1-lb. box went from this to that:

Oh, we devoured those babies like crazy. Everything was just so good both inside and out. We didn’t eat it all at one sitting since you really need to savor each piece. We found nothing wrong with getting a single piece several times throughout the day  though 🙂

The Bridge Mix was next. This is a great combination of various fillings including nuts, raisins, coconut, brittle, and more. We still have no idea which one is which so every time we dig in it’s a new surprise. The nice thing about having the smaller bite-size pieces is that no one is poking in the middle to see what’s inside. The variety makes it more appealing for snacking and for company.

Aside from the chocolate, See’s also carries pops. Butterscotch lollipops were among my favorite when I was young. The assorted Little Pops hard candy box contained the same butterscotch pops but without the stick. It also had vanilla, coffee, and chocolate flavor. I’ve had a hard time bringing myself to eat anything other than the butterscotch so far so I can’t report on the other flavors yet.

There’s so much more available to satisfy your sweet tooth such as nuts, chews, brittles, fudge, truffles, and sugar-free. Dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, nut-free, and egg-free options can be found too. Buying a gift certificate for a 1- or 2-lb.box is a fantastic gift for any friend or loved one. Pre-assembled gift packs are always offered and some even include free shipping. Prices are reasonable and the quality is outstanding. These are good old-fashioned candies with no high fructose corn syrup or preservatives.

So next time you feel the munchies for something sweet or are searching for the perfect present, head over to Sees.com. Once you eat See’s Candies you won’t want to settle for anything less. Oh, and while your there, don’t forget to check out See’s fundraising program.
