Can you believe we’re already so far into the new school year? How are you and the kids hanging in there? If you ever need a quick pick me up, there’s something that always makes me feel better – ice cream!
Of course, not just any ice cream will do. There’s something about frozen treats from Baskin Robbins that just cannot be beat. Knowing this, there are some new Back to School themed Baskin-Robbins flavors to make going back to school a little less painful. Along with September’s Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream flavor of the month, the new flavors include:
- S’More the Merrier – Marshmallow and graham cracker ice cream, milk chocolate chips and a crunchy graham cracker ribbon.
- Peanut Butter ’n Jelly – Peanut-butter-flavored ice cream with grape jelly and peanut butter ribbons.
- Tropical Vacation Frozen Yogurt – Pineapple and passion fruit-flavored frozen yogurt with a passion fruit ribbon.
- Wild ‘N Reckless – A green apple, blue raspberry and fruit punch-flavored sherbet party.
I have to admit that I entered the store with mixed emotions. Every time I visit Baskin-Robbins, I have to get my two favorite flavors of Mint Chocolate Chip and Gold Medal Ribbon. I didn’t really want to try the new flavors but, if I didn’t, I couldn’t tell you about them.
New Back to School Baskin-Robbins Flavors
Surprisingly, I really, really liked S’More the Merrier. It kind of reminded me of Gold Medal Ribbon but I liked the added graham and marshmallow flavors. So, I ended up with a scoop of Mint Chocolate Chip and one scoop of S’More the Merrier, and a free waffle cone.
Munchkin was a good sport and tasted everything with me. She loves anything sour so Wild ‘N Reckless was right up her alley. She decided to get two kids’ scoops, one of Wild ‘N Reckless and one of S’More the Merrier.
The location we visited was out of Peanut Butter ’n Jelly so we couldn’t have a taste. The employee said people like it if they are brave enough to try the unique mix 🙂 As for the Tropical Vacation Frozen Yogurt, it was okay but I couldn’t get past the different texture.
As you can probably tell, we were both happy campers that afternoon.
