Experience Pampers Line Upgrades at Target + Discount

by TerriAnn
Celebrating Pampers product upgrades at Target #giveaway

I received one Pampers prize pack to keep and one to giveaway thanks to P&G. All opinions are my own.

My first experience with diaper blowout was when I was about 16 years old. I was holding a friend’s son at a street fair and his soggy, fresh number 3 went exploding down my cute Grinch shorts. Eiuw! Obviously, I was intent on not letting the same thing happen when I had a child of my own.

Pampers Upgrade 2.0

Stories like mine are not unique. That’s why I’m so happy to share that Pampers is launching major upgrades across its entire line of diapers, training pants, and wipes. Any ways that diaper blowout can be prevented are definitely welcome to all parents! Some new changes are:

  • Pampers Swaddlers, Pampers’ softest diaper and the #1 choice of hospitals, is now available through size 5.
  • Pampers Cruisers are now more absorbent and offer Pampers’ best fit for all the ways babies play freely.
  • Pampers Baby Dry is up to three times drier than ordinary diapers* and provides up to 12 hours of overnight protection and three layers of absorbency.

These and more are now available at Target, a wonderful place to buy things to help our lives as parents easier without breaking the bank. Speaking of which, from now to Novemer 2nd, you can get a FREE $10 Target gift card with the purchase of 2 Pampers Super Packs at Target. So hurry over to grab that gift card before it’s too late!

I have had no major diaper mishaps but I did go several weeks putting the diaper on backward before I was corrected.

Sandy Cain October 30, 2013 - 2:57 am

A diaper mishap? A major disaster is more like it! Without getting too graphic, let’s just say my kid had diarrhea and we were using a generic brand of diapers. Some things are better left to the imagination!

Adrienne Gordon October 30, 2013 - 2:59 am

my sons diaper exploded on top of a restaurant table once.

Margaret Smith October 30, 2013 - 4:38 am

Yes, a number of times before I started using better quality diapers. The one that I remember the most is when my sister in law was holding my son and he went all over her. I felt so bad and embarrassed.

Kathleen October 30, 2013 - 5:30 am

Yes, many times…diaper blow outs in public

kport207 at gmail dot com

Lisa Brown October 30, 2013 - 6:02 am

not many except for the occasional leaking

livivua October 30, 2013 - 6:25 am

yes- putting a diaper on wrong in the dark so i don’t wake the little monster so he doesn’t think it is wake up time and the diaper caught nothing on the wrong side and you know the rest was every where in the crib.

Denise S October 30, 2013 - 6:45 am

I’ve had plenty of diaper mishaps where they overflowed and made a huge mess.

Heather Baker October 30, 2013 - 6:49 am

When I had my daughter I was on antibiotics and she was breastfeeding. Let’s just say it didn’t agree with her and there were many blowouts.

Cynthia C October 30, 2013 - 8:14 am

I had a major blowout once at the beach. Not fun!

rachel October 30, 2013 - 8:57 am

I’ve put on the diaper the wrong way before…whoops.

HilLesha October 30, 2013 - 9:26 am

My son had his fair share of diaper mishaps as a baby. One of the most embarrassing ones was when my mom and I were shopping at JCPenney and I happened to look down and see remnants of poop on my blouse. When I went to the bathroom to cleanup, I realized my son had one of the biggest blowouts. To make matters worse, I had forgotten the diaper bag in the car. So I had to trek all of the way out of the store to change his diaper. Those were the days, haha! Luckily, my daughter hasn’t really experienced anything like that…..yet. 😉

D SCHMIDT October 30, 2013 - 10:35 am

We have had a few mishaps but they have honestly been caused by my son removing the diaper in the night.

Janet W. October 30, 2013 - 12:00 pm

We had a diaper mishap the other day during my grandson’s nap time. He did a #2 in his diaper, took his pants off, and his diaper, and got it on his hands. Then he played with some toys in his room, read some books, etc, so everything had to be cleaned!

Jessica B. October 30, 2013 - 12:26 pm

My son had a diaper explosion in the doctor’s office one time. It was all over him!

My son was not feeling well one day so we were lay in my bed. He had a major blow out. The worst of it was that it was all over my sheets and down comforter.

Kelly D October 30, 2013 - 3:47 pm

Our mishaps were when the diapers would come off in the car seat or crib, resulting in a mess.

Natalie U October 30, 2013 - 3:49 pm

I had many mishaps but one was when the diaper was not strong enough, it was generic, and everything all came squirting out on a relative….embarrassing

Natalie October 30, 2013 - 4:19 pm

I took off my son’s diaper in the bathroom to change it and he just went on my face,,,,if you know what I mean!

Mary Beth Elderton October 30, 2013 - 6:09 pm

I’m a grandma now with lots of stories, but my favorite is the first diaper I changed as a brand new mom. I had my cute little baby boy on the cute changing table with a cute diaper bag. I was ready with wipes and diaper cream. I took off his diaper and readied it for the matching cute diaper pail..when he started…spraying everywhere..I panicked! You can bet that I learned to be really quick with the diapers after that.

Tara October 30, 2013 - 6:29 pm

My mother brought up today that she remembers my son leaking all over her at a Christmas Eve performance, I honestly don’t remember this one, but apparently it left a memory for my mother. 🙂

Carol October 30, 2013 - 6:40 pm

No mishaps yet.

Susan Christy October 30, 2013 - 7:30 pm

I flew to Phoenix with my sister, her toddler and newborn. We didn’t sit together, and we thought the baby would be easier to care for (figured he would sleep the whole time), so I took him. He didn’t sleep – he was too busy pooping. It was everywhere – on me, the floor, the bathroom, maybe even the guy next to me. It was 29 years ago and I still remember the smell!

Anna E. October 30, 2013 - 8:46 pm

brandy g. October 31, 2013 - 1:54 pm

Right after my daughter was born, my husband decided to change a diaper and he put it on backwards and the nurses laughed. It was funny and they showed him how to put it on the right way and we we brought our daughter home, he did the same thing again, he said he could never tell which way the diaper went. He finally got the hang of it after a while.

Heidi October 31, 2013 - 2:01 pm

We’ve dubbed my newborn daughter “the pee-pee ninja” because she’ll pee when you least expect it- when you’re removing the dirty diaper and before you put the clean one on.

Maria Iemma November 4, 2013 - 10:48 am

I still remember the morning that I woke up to my 18 month old naked on the crib. It seems he woke up and made a poop and decided he did not want to be dirty, however he played with the poop as if it was finger paint. It took me hours to get everything cleaned and sanitized.

Chelsea Pool November 9, 2013 - 4:30 am

When I was 17 I attended a family function right before my school’s cabaret. I tried very hard all night not to get the shirt I was wearing dirty since I was to participate in the cabaret. Right before I left I held my 4 month old cousin so my aunt could get herself some food. I quickly noticed that wonderful warm sensation from his behind on my sleeve. He was relieved but I was panicked. I did my best to remove the stain from my shirt with no luck. Wearing one of my grandmother’s shirts at my high school cabaret I vowed it was only the most trustworthy diapers for my baby’s bottom.

Ann B. November 9, 2013 - 7:02 am

Oh boy yes….
We were flying to Maine with our 4mo. old daughter, As soon as the plane took off, she did a big watery poop, it was running out of the diaper. I had to wait until the plane was fully in the air to change her in the tiny bathroom on the plane. She had to be washed. It was a nightmare.

Definitely not an experience I would like to replicate.

We had a number of diaper mishaps when my kids were little, but the worst is when I go to the mall and see people who just toss their dirty diapers on the ground in the parking lot. Who does this!?

Jeanette Ardiente November 11, 2013 - 10:36 pm

I have no unique diaper mishap stories. But I’m told my husband had a few when I had to go on a business trip, and he had to take care of our son by himself.

soha molina November 12, 2013 - 7:23 pm

My mishap story is just the usual night time accident during the potty training phase.

Ciara B. November 13, 2013 - 2:56 am

it’s not MY mishap story but, a few weeks ago my dad took my son on a trip to visit his mom and sister, and it was his first time ever having him for more than a day at a time alone. On the way back, he stopped to change my son and accidentally grabbed a swim diaper, threw it on him, and put him back in the car for a few more hours. let’s just say he learned the difference between swim and regular diapers lol

Hannah @Supermommy!...Or Not November 13, 2013 - 7:17 am

I’ve had 3 kids so have quite a few of these stories. The most recent one was when I forgot to bring ANY diapers to church and my 10 month old had 2 very messy diapers. I had to borrow a too-small diaper from my sister-in-law for the first one, but the second time it happened, I was too embarrassed to ask for another one. Thankfully church was almost over so when we finished, I lined the carseat with a blanket and rushed home before it could leak all over.

caitlin tate November 13, 2013 - 8:12 am

we tried so many diaper brands due to leaking..

kathy dalton November 13, 2013 - 1:02 pm

my grandson had a blowout in his carseat…..not pleasant

Lindsey G November 13, 2013 - 1:03 pm

Oh my, I have. It would have to been when I was dropping off one kiddo at daycare and taking the other little one to the doctor’s office. Her diaper over flowed in the car and on the car seat. It was quite a mess.

One time we were staying the night with some friends and my daughters diaper exploded. There were crystals everywhere and the smell was awful. I never changed her while she slept.

Jennifer November 14, 2013 - 11:28 am

Jennifer T. November 14, 2013 - 2:14 pm

I remember when my daughter was between 2 and 3 and had just learned how to unfasten her diaper. She pooped while in her crib and proceeded to grab at her toys and blankets. Worst clean-up ever.

Dana November 14, 2013 - 9:10 pm

Laura @ Frugal Follies November 15, 2013 - 6:24 am

With my first two kids we had a mishap that came to be called the “poop cannon.” I’ll leave it up to your imagination. By the third we figured out to cover the kid with a diaper at all times! Thanks for the great giveaway!

Douglas Houston November 15, 2013 - 6:47 am

Just the everyday mishaps, leaky diapers or my boys peeing when I am trying to change them.

Jammie November 16, 2013 - 9:25 am

I have MANY diaper mishap stories. When our daughter was first born we had a lot of accidents, my husband got it worse, whenever it was time to change her, she always ended up going in the middle, one time she pooped all over.

Laura Unger November 16, 2013 - 9:53 am

I remember the first time we went on vacation after my son was born…he was probably around a year old at the time. We had gathered all of our luggage, and were headed to our room when the “contents” of his diaper actually started to fall out onto the floor of the hotel hallway.

Holli Joren November 16, 2013 - 10:21 am

Just leaky diapers!

Peter G November 16, 2013 - 12:40 pm

In the library and it was an historic disaster. A reading group for toddlers and parents. My daughter did a big number 2 and came out the diaper and down the leg and into the sandals.

Laurie Emerson November 16, 2013 - 7:07 pm
