Six Peaks Grille is another of Resort at Squaw Creek‘s many on-site restaurants. A hallway of elegant seating and tables for two and four opens to a larger areas for bigger groups. All of these face floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook a gorgeous view. If desired, you can also eat outside beneath the umbrellas and draped twinkle lights.

Of course, if you’re going to Six Peaks Grille, it’s mainly for the food. Prices are quite steep but the dishes do not disappoint. My halibut was moist and seasoned just right. Paired with refreshing veggies, it felt like a nice, balanced appetizer. My husband enjoyed his meal as well. Unfortunately, there was not much in the way of kid-friendly choices. The children’s menu is basically the same as the one offered at the nearby Squaw Creek café-type restaurant.

At least Munchkin had a nice treat when dessert rolled around. We ordered a couple varieties but our favorite had to be the mini-sorbet cones. Each scoop was a different flavor (strawberry, pistachio, and lemon) and perfect for each of us to claim a cone of our own to savor.

For a special dinner celebration or a quiet meal for two, Six Peaks Grille will be your ticket to newly formed fond memories. Just make sure to save up a bit as the gourmet entrees will put you back $25-$50 a pop. For breakfast, don’t forget to check out Cascades which is also in the resort.

Those mini sorbet cones are adorable. It is sad that there was not a larger more varied selection for children. That can be disappointing. The halibut looks tasty and is probably something I would have enjoyed!
