Your Back to School Supplies List Isn’t Complete w/o This!

I can NOT believe that it’s already time for school to start again. It seems like we’ve barely begun to make any summer memories and now it’s over. Are you almost ready yet? Have you gotten most the items on your back to school supplies list? If so, you’re way ahead of me!

Last Monday was my daughter’s first day back to (home) school and she’s been hitting the books hard. This is her last year of middle school so, if she doesn’t get into a good routine now, high school is going to be miserable for her. It’s time for some tough love!

Getting Everything on Your Back to School Supplies List

Unfortunately, we only have her math curriculum so far. There was a delay in ordering and we’ll be playing catch up with history, science, and language arts whenever it finally arrives. I also need to get some more items for the history projects I have planned this year. Plus, she’ll be starting an advanced book club this year to sharpen her literary analysis skills and reading Emma was already an challenging task for her. We are so not ready for school to be in session!

One thing we are prepared with is having her protected online. Much of Munchkin’s work is via digital textbooks and she has to go online to access her work and assessments. Logging in and out of various websites can put her at risk with her name and regular passwords out there. Along with my LifeLock Ultimate Plus membership, we have her covered with LifeLock Junior. This includes:

  • LifeLock Identity Alert® System
  • Credit File Detection
  • Black Market Website Surveillance
  • File-Sharing Network Searches
  • Live Member Support 24/7/365
  • Certified Resolution Support
  • $1 Million Total Service Guarantee

You can find out more about this and other products on the official Lifelock site. There are actually a few new features being offered now as well. The new product lineup includes LifeLock Standard ($9.99/mo.), LifeLock Advantage ($19.99), and LifeLock Ultimate Plus ($29.99). LifeLock Advantage and LifeLock Ultimate Plus also feature transaction monitoring for your credit card and checking and savings accounts. That means you can have peace of mind when buying those school items online. LifeLock Ultimate gives you the added ability to get alerts on your investment accounts as well.

Get 10% Off Now!

You can use the promo code “LifeLockSafety” to get 10% off your purchase. It’s definitely better safe than sorry when it comes to protecting our kids, including their identity and credit history.

So while you’re finishing up your last-minute back to school preparations, don’t forget to make sure you have your LifeLock account all set up and ready to go. With the hectic pace of school being back in session, the last thing you need is the threat of identity theft messing things up! Head to the Lifelock site here!

Ugh, I can’t imagine! I know people who have gone through this, it’s a nightmare and you feel so invaded!

Love lifelock even though just today it told me my credit score went down 84 points (it is from buying a house)

My car was broken into once, and I felt so violated. And the most personal thing in there was my cd collection. I can’t imagine having my identify stolen.

Very interesting. I had no idea that LifeLock offered a package for younger ones. I will share this with my friends for sure. -from MDF

My son is wrapping up his 3rd week of school, but I’m going to look into this more.

My husband had his wallet stolen once- the thief spent over $1000 within half an hour of stealing it. Absolutely crazy! Something like Life Lock would have given us a lot of peace of mind.

I can’t believe it’s back-to-school time, either. Summer, where did you go?!

Naomi August 27, 2014 - 10:46 pm

It’s a shame that identity theft is such a problem, but it’s nice to know there are companies out there to keep an eye on our files.

HilLesha August 28, 2014 - 7:32 am

This reminds me: I need to renew my LifeLock membership!

Kathleen August 28, 2014 - 7:33 am

As much as kids use their computer for school, I can see how this would be a necessity, because most the time they are using them on public connections.

We could totally use Lifelock. I don’t even think about securing those things although I probably should!

Ugh, I’ve been there many times! It’s horrible to dear with! I got Lifelock right after.

That credit file detection for kids is so important. No one thinks that their children’s credit will be compromised because they don’t use it – and then they find out when it’s too late!

Jesica Helgren September 4, 2014 - 12:13 pm

I’ve been thinking about this more and more lately. I really should sign up for it, the web is so iffy lately.

Lisa September 4, 2014 - 7:26 pm

I never thought about making this part of our BTS list! Thanks!

Melissa September 4, 2014 - 7:30 pm

I can’t even imagine. This definitely should be on BTS lists.

I remember when you only heard bout identity theft for celebrities. Now noone is immune from it.

Jennifer H September 5, 2014 - 5:28 am

I’m glad there’s a resource like this because stolen identity cases just keep rising.

Kimberly Grabinski September 5, 2014 - 8:17 am

I love having Lifelock! I get alerts where they have me verify things I may or may not have done, I feel a lot of peace of mind with it.

Joy Williams September 5, 2014 - 8:28 am

Why oh why do people steal from one another?!? Especially identity. That is so bad if its breached. I am so glad there are services like this to protect us!

Lucero De La Tierra September 5, 2014 - 9:10 am

It’s frustrating that we have to lock down our private information because of hackers and thieves. Now they don’t even have to break down your door or rob the bank to rob you blind.

Jamie H September 5, 2014 - 4:45 pm

We worry so much about our own identity getting stolen we forget about our kids (at least I have until now!). Thanks so much for the reminder that I have to watch out for my kids too!

Michelle September 5, 2014 - 7:14 pm

We’ve had our laptop, and cell phone stolen, I think we need this!

Notorious Spinks September 5, 2014 - 7:29 pm

I didn’t know Lifelock offered this service. I will have to check it out for my pc.

Crystal Green September 21, 2014 - 9:34 am

These are some really awesome features. I am going to have to check into this some more. Thanks for sharing.
